My name is Dr. Challotine Cius and I am a board certified Naturopathic Doctor, Natural Health Practitioner and Author. I have also studied herbology, nutritional consulting, holistic health, acupuncture, integrative medicine and alternative medicine. I don't believe in one size fits all medicine and practice an individualized approach for my clients. My focus is on chronic illness and preventative healthcare, with an emphasis in women and children’s health. I have consulted to USDA/FDA facilities and worked on children's nutritional plans and food labeling . I have also consulted to food and health organizations, laboratory scientists and have an extensive background in marketing and design.
Outside of being a doctor, I am an author, mom and artist. My passion in life is helping and feeding others. When I say feeding, I don’t just mean literally. I feed people knowledge, feed their hearts, feed their spirits and their minds. I enjoy seeing people look at life with meaning and purpose. I am a little bit of an old soul and have been told that for as long as I can remember. I was born to Haitian parents in Virginia and grew up in a small beach town off the Gulf coast of Florida.
It was also my Haitian roots that lead me into natural medicine. It was a part of my life since I was a child. All kinds of vines, plants and herbs in my mother’s yard and garden were brewed for every aliment I ever had, which is why I rarely took medicine. I ate fresh farm raised meats and vegetables from my grandmother’s garden when I’d visited Haiti. There was nothing in the world like it. I realized at a young age that something was special about the simplicity, eating natural fresh foods and drinking tea. Now, I am on a journey to share my knowledge and experience with others. I hope to help you find answers, share wisdom, give some advice and share ideas that will help you along your road to a better and healthier you.

Book: A Black Boy in hopes to be a Black Man
“This is a book that I wish I had growing up. Very uplifting, great words of affirmation and a reminder that we need to empower our youth! Definitely one I’ll be reading very often to my nephew.” -Ben J.
“It's apparent history has not been kind to black people. As seen on the nighttime news, blacks are targeted repeatedly because of the color of their skin. They are viewed as criminals - already assumed they're guilty of something. This constant treatment makes young black children think less of themselves, which is not what they should be feeling. Black and brown children need to see their worth - know they can accomplish anything. The world should not see them as villains, criminals, or lesser humans. Skin pigment should not define us - our actions should.
Through Dr.Challotine Cius-Bonds, PhD's text and illustrations, we will see one little boy stand tall amongst haters. He sees a bright future and lets nothing stand in his way from achieving his goals. He grew up to become a proud black man.
February is Black History Month, but A Black Boy in Hopes to be a Black
Man by Dr.Challotine Cius-Bonds, PhD is not limited to one month a year. Parents should be reading this story to their child(ren), no matter the month.
This book's message is strong, illustrations even stronger. Together, they make a powerful book that should be shared in every home and classroom.” Kamern B.
